What is your special interest and why?

I love seeing Paul create such lifelike dentures. He’s so artistic that you can see the texture of the gums and the teeth have character.

What to you love most about your job?

I love the patients. Many of them have great stories to tell and we have seen lots of patients grow up and now they trust us with their children. We have a great relationship with our patients – they always ask after our family as we do theirs. I never feel like I’m in a dental practice. There’s a lot of laughter in our waiting room…which we like to call The Lounge.

How do you help your patients?

Being an established practice I have got to know our patients for example, those that need collecting because they struggle to get a lift, those who need late appointments, and those who come with family members, so I have made sure that we have everything in place to accommodate the needs of our patients. I also like to send out little gifts from time to time.; it could be thank you’s for a referral, a new baby, or simply because we know a patient is perhaps having  a bit of a tough time.

What is your special interest and why?

Dentures. I started life as a Dental Technician and making dentures is a form of art.  I create lifelike gums and teeth – bring in your wedding photo and I will recreate that smile with subtle age appropriate features. I’ve had patients ask for a gold tooth or a bit of discoloration. Keeping them natural is key.

What to you love most about your job?

For me it’s all about the patients! I love getting to know my patients who often are as much friends as they are patients.

How do you help your patients?

I’m a very calm person and this helps when it comes to reassuring patients before, during and after treatment. I make time for my patients so that they don’t feel rushed. People need time to consider their options when it comes to treatment. Unless it’s a straight forward filling, there are usually different treatment options, and I allow that headspace.

What is your special interest and why?

My main interest is helping patients gain healthy, confident and naturally beautiful smiles with minimally invasive techniques. This can range from simpler techniques such as replacing tired looking fillings, to using clear braces to straighten teeth and/or composite bonding to ‘lift’ a smile.

I also have a growing interest in endodontics (root canal treatments).

What to you love most about your job?

I love getting to know my patients and making a trip to the dentist something they look forward to. My aim is that every patient under my care has a healthy mouth with a smile that they can be proud of. 

The best feeling is finishing treatment with a patient who used to hide their teeth and then year after year seeing them show off their beautiful smile!
